Supporting The Beliefs of The LDS Church

This is a list of some of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' doctrines and beliefs and the bible passages that support them. (That's right, folks. Despite what your pastor told you, Mormon's do believe in the Bible and our beliefs are in there, when you look at other verses besides John 3:16 or Ephesians 2:8-9.)

I started this bible study page in the mid 90's because I was astounded at how many people didn't realize that Mormons believe in the bible, or didn't know that many of the unique LDS beliefs were taught by the New Testament church. Talking with my friends and acquaintances from other Christian faiths, I learned that they never knew that these topics were even addressed in the bible. Unfortunately, they had been misinformed. So this page is as much for them as it is for other LDS Church members who want a quick reference to Mormon doctrine in the bible.

Each topic will include an overview of the particular belief, the biblical citations, the full text of the bible verses and a summary explaining the verses connection to topic. When whole chapters were applicable I added links to the chapter instead. I decided to post the text of each verse, instead of the citation alone, to make things easier and because no one ever actually takes time to look them up in their Bible anyway. All Bible verse are from the King James Version.
