Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worship Jesus Christ and affirm His Divinity. We pray in Jesus' name, we're baptized in Jesus' name, we worship God The Eternal Father in Jesus' name, we reverence Him so much that even the church bears His name. We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God The Father, is our Savior and Redeemer, and is our mediator with God The Father. We believe Jesus created the Earth under our Heavenly Father's direction and that He was Jehovah, the God of Israel. We believe that Jesus Christ and God The Father are separate, distinct personages, with glorified bodies of flesh and bone. We don't believe that They are of one essence and substance, but are One in will and purpose—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. We believe that Christ condescended from Heaven and was born in the flesh to Mary. During Jesus' mortal ministry He fulfilled all righteousness, set the foundation for His priesthood, organized a church, was our exemplar and taught His gospel of salvation, atoned for the sins of all mankind in the Garden, was crucified on the cross and conquered death by rising the third day. We believe after Christ was resurrected He visited and taught His followers in The Americas. We believe He restored His church in these latter days, complete with apostles and prophets, and that He will return in glory to herald His Second Coming and will reign on Earth for a millennium.
